Mr. Draeger founded ENVionX Inc. to meet the unique technical marketing needs of organizations working in the geo-environmental and earth sciences fields. The goal was to offer specialized, niche marketing services that required a deep understanding of technical concepts in order to create effective marketing materials. Later, ENVionX expanded it's marketing services to include mobile application development and consumer-based marketing for the recreational sports industry. Today, FISHBUOY Fishing App remains the industry-leader in environmental data logging for anglers.
During his professional career, Mr. Draeger held leadership positions with several internationally recognized environmental firms where he was responsible for strategic planning, corporate branding, alliances management, channel partner relations, sales force management, marketing communications and public relations. While at Schlumberger Water Services (NYSE:SLB), Mr. Draeger was responsible for the brand integration of five strategic acquisitions (Waterloo Hydrogeologic Inc., Van Essen Instruments, Westbay Instruments, Missimer Groundwater Science, Water Management Consultants), which led to the industry's largest subsurface characterization/groundwater technology firm. Mr. Draeger was also instrumental in diversifying Schlumberger's 'New Businesses' Division; creating the brand identity and marketing initiatives for three green businesses that included Schlumberger Water Services, Schlumberger Carbon Services and Schlumberger Geothermal Services. His global experience includes market assessment and localization of environmental services and technologies into foreign markets including USA, Brasil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Turkey, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, China and Australia.
Prior to joining Schlumberger, Mr. Draeger was an Associate Partner at Waterloo Hydrogeologic Inc. (WHI) - a global technology firm recognized for developing environmental software products such as Visual MODFLOW and HydroGeo Analyst. As a senior leader responsible for corporate marketing and product sales, Mr. Draeger successfully launched numerous products globally that led to a threefold growth in revenues through his tenure. Later, when acquired by Schlumberger, Mr. Draeger provided guidance on company integration, strategic planning, IP capture, contracts review, personnel retention planning, R&D audits and brand/corporate integration.
Mr. Draeger graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in 1993.
